Houthis claim string of new attacks on Saudi Arabia

Oct 26, 2026

Sana'a [Yemen] / Cairo [Egypt], October 26: Yemen's Houthi rebels on Saturday said they had carried out a series of attacks on neighbouring Saudi Arabia with which the Iran-aligned militia is locked in a military feud.
The attacks were conducted with ballistic missiles and drones, and hit their targets, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a statement.
The targets included King Khalid airport in the capital Riyadh, a facility of the state oil giant Aramco in the port city of Yanbu and an oil refinery in Rabigh in western Saudi Arabia, he added.
Other attacks hit crude oil pumping stations and the key Saudi East-West crude oil pipeline as well as King Fahd airport in the eastern city of Dammam.
Saree also claimed two other attacks targeting Najran airport and an airbase in Khamis Mushait, both in south-western Saudi Arabia.
The Houthi official said the latest hits were in retaliation for Saudi attacks on Yemen, putting them at 100 airstrikes over the past 24 hours.
Earlier Saturday, a Saudi-led coalition fighting the Houthis announced it had intercepted two ballistic missiles fired by the armed group toward the cities of Taif and Yanbu in the oil-wealthy monarchy.
The coalition also said a Houthi ballistic missile targeting Riyadh, and a drone in the oil-rich Eastern Province were intercepted. No potential casualties or damage was given.
Houthi-linked media Saturday reported deadly airstrikes by the Saudi coalition on Yemen's Houthi-ruled capital Sana'a.
At least four people were killed and several others injured in a strike on a house in the Asr area in the western part of Sana'a, the Houthi-affiliated television al-Masirah (The March) reported.
The Houthi-controlled news agency Saba meanwhile said Saudi jets had targeted a cement factory in the Hamdan district in Sana'a, killing and injuring an unspecified number of civilians.
Al-Masirah later reported that eight were killed and 10 others injured in this attack.
There was no comment from the coalition that has been fighting the Houthi rebels for more than a decade.
The Houthis have stepped up attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent weeks amid a renewed escalation of the war in Yemen, with airports and oil facilities among the main targets in the kingdom.
Saudi Arabia backs Yemen's internationally recognized government and is leading a military coalition fighting the Houthi rebels.
The years-long conflict in Yemen has intensified again amid the wider war involving the US, Israel and Iran.
