UN warn violence in Middle East risks devastating conflict

Sep 21, 2024

New York [US], September 21: A top United Nations official has warned the UN Security Council that further violence between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon risks fuelling a far more damaging conflict.
"We risk seeing a conflagration that could dwarf even the devastation and suffering witnessed so far," UN political affairs chief Rosemary DiCarlo told the UNSC on Friday, which met about attacks this week on Hezbollah.
