Description: New Delhi, October 8, 2025 (ANI): Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia says that from being a technology taker and a technology follower, India today has become the digital flag bearer of the world. Mobile data costs in the country have fallen by 98% over the last 11 years. There was a time when a single minute of voice calling was a luxury and access to mobile services was an aspiration. Today, India is home to 20% of the world's mobile population, with 1.2 billion subscribers. The country has grown from 60 million internet broadband users in 2014, under the Prime Minister's vision, to 944 million broadband subscribers.
